Pros
Fast promotion Cheaper food in surrounding area A lot of younger staffs less strictness on staff appearance compare to big 4 (KPMG,etc)
Cons
The lowest paid among big 5 firms OT cannot be claimed by money (their norma) or time-off (need approval from higher management) Hard to see interaction among colleagues even in the same department (all people busy for working, unless they will talk with you when assign job to you) Uncleared instructions by higher management Dangerous location (especially OT until night time because the area is beside Chow Kit area) No good training is given to new staffs No working-life balances Study and exam leaves cannot be provided like big 4 (EY,etc) to the current staffs for those who are taking professional examinations (ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, MICPA, etc), they will only provide study and exam leaves for those taking sponsorship under BDO (must be bonded by 3-5 years unless you break the contract). If you are not be sponsored by BDO, you must apply YOUR OWN VERY LIMITED ANNUAL LEAVES to prepare and attend your exam. Breaking your sponsorship contract-have to pay back those money they spend on you and also the study/exam leaves they provided to you before, they are not same like big 4. Each hour of study and exam leaves that you have taken before need to be count back according your time cost and pay back to BDO. I can be costed like few thousand (in RM) when you are with senior title.
