      Pros

      Great firm to work for, great resources and helpful, considerate management. Everyone stays very positive during busy season, and managers are always willing to help wherever necessary.

      Cons

      The CPA bonus is lower than other large firms. Employer 401k matching seems lower than many other organizations. Long hours during busy season, but summer hours are very relaxed.

      Other than the two-month busy season in April, the work life balance is quite good. Work hours are less demanding than Big 4.

      Cons

      Clients are mid-market companies rather than top tier companies - may potentially restrict your future career path.

      Pros

      BDO has an excellent culture, the people that work there make it fun to come to work everyday. The management is very accommodating and flexible. There's a lot of positive change that is happening and would be excited to see how that progresses. Great access to partners and can really make am impact if you choose to do so.

      Cons

      The client base at time can consist of some less sophisticated clients, however, that occurs within any client pool in public accounting.
