Pros
They have made a real effort to staff up the tax group recently and this past busy season was made much more doable than in the past as a result. Management seems to have a clear vision of where they want to take the firm in the next few years and has made real progress recently. Not the Big 4 in a good way - Partners know your name, understand that you have other options and treat you as someone who adds value to the company. Good camaraderie among staff- if someone is getting overloaded others will try to help if they can.
Cons
Doesn't have name recognition outside the financial world. Exit opportunities not quite what you can get when moving on from Big 4. Pay seems to be lagging behind competitors a bit.
