Pros

1. Good starting point as a fresh grad as you have opportunities to expose to a variety of industries 2. Better salary package, branding and market presence compared to other small audit firms 3. Structured training programs for technical and soft skills

Cons

1. Long hours - Due to staff shortages and the need to manage recovery rates, some managers reduce the allocated hours for each job. This often results in handling 3 to 4 or more engagements simultaneously, creating backlogs as new assignments continue to come in. 2. Toxic management - favoritism, unrealistic expectations 3. Work from home is prohibited 4. 1.5year of employment bond

Pros

Exposure to multitude of clients Nice office Good technology Benefits and Pension OK

Cons

Toxic working environment, bullying allegations brushed under the carpet, discrimination is a big part of day to day working and not uncommon for partners to ask for rules to be bent to keep clients happy. If you flag a concern, it becomes your problem to deal with. Older partners have established ‘protective bubbles’ over ineffective and poor performing members of staff to provide their own support network. It is advertised as a place with a lot of progression, which may be the case if you appease the partner at all times and provide no challenges.
