Pros

It is the biggest bank in europe. So it recruits a lot of people. It has a good working ambiance. We have plenty of internal mobility opportunities for us to choose projects we want to work on.

Cons

English is not quite popular. French is important. Kind of conservative. They are not quite open to foreigners. French people tend to have more promoting opportunities.

Pros

Generally talented workforce; not difficult to shine if you're prepared to speak up. I enjoyed working here because I'm not afraid to confront, what I would consider, poor decisions. I felt my input was welcomed, especially from the British and Anglophile management.

Cons

Some weak management which affects the delivery of strategy. Lots of passive aggressive managers who consider themselves god like but are actually quite easy to read / play. Scary amount of work being moved to India, where there is a very poor technical level of staff.
