Pros

BRP gives its employees many opportunities to take on projects and have ownership early on. There is a strong culture of collaboration and people are happy to assist when asked for help. As an organization, BRP is very competitive and it is fueled by its people's drive. Everybody's goal is to exceed expectations.

Cons

Due to BRP's fast growth, some of its supporting functions do not reflect the size of the organization, which can be frustrating. The structure is constantly evolving to adapt to the growth and it can be destabilizing for people who prefer stability. It is a fast pace environment so there is not much hand-holding. You must be a fast learner and feel comfortable navigating without step-by-step instructions because those do not exist.

Pros

Nice 401k match of 6%. They moved me around to different rules so I got lots of good experience. Got to travel as an SQE and see lots of interesting places. Learned a lot about engines and manufacturing. Since I left they decided to build pontoons in the sturtevant facility which may make that campus profitable again.

Cons

Left BRP sturtevant because after 7 years of being there they were starting to hire kids out of college making almost as much as me. Never saw a single person get promoted past supervisor during 7 years of working there. They always filled management positions with people from Valcourt or outside. Zero upward mobility in the sturtevant location. They didn’t pay out any bonus for sturtevant employees the last 4 years I worked there even though the other brands were growing very fast. They also started offering 10 year warranties on evinrude engines without analyzing the warranty rates / costs. Never got to ride a ski doo and very limited opportunities to ride product.

Pros

Make sure you know your team and team members before you join Do not fall for any trap or mis-leading by old members in the team May be to look good or be in good books of management - Senior employee try to direct you with wrong information about the work.

Cons

I was hired for BRP on full time. French only communication in meetings and daily routine Do not share or atleast try to accommodate non-french speaking person Do not give time to settle or know all the work process and can be lay of in first month itself. Management politics Favoritism only for French speaking Act very nice on your face and something wrong -inappropriate to management-that too not work related on your back Management is not sure what they want and senior associated in the company mislead you with wrong direction for the work- result is new hire person is hired within a month.
