Pros

We get to work from home, they pay a good salary and offer paid time off and holidays.

Cons

I'd appreciate more benefits, but overall there's nothing really negative about working here.

Pros

I'm still looking for them.

Cons

I received a very good proposal from a competitor company, best of both worlds: a nice paycheck and an interesting project. Human resources talked me into staying in the company, saying that: my project was solid and a considerable source of revenue for the company, plus they had a "reserve bench" system by which I would still receive my payment and get additional training to apply to other projects in case the main one ended or dismissed me for any reason. They also covered the competitor's offer and allowed me to get a second assignment if I wanted to, despite being in the company for less than six months, but I agreed to wait for a couple of months before doing that, just to make sure it would not impact the main project. About a month later, the project was terminated by the client, so most people were immediately put on the reserve bench and given access to Udemy, but I was not contacted for 48h after being communicated of the project's end. I finally sought the right people and told them I was awaiting further instructions. They got back to me the next day to tell me they did not need my services anymore. They only told me that no projects were available to match my profile at the time, which I'm 100% sure is a lie, since I'm a backend Python engineer with experience in data analysis, engineering, and a bit of machine learning, beyond the fact that the company has many, many clients and projects. They offered no additional clarification on the reasons for my dismissal: no KPIs, no reports from my time in the project, no complaints, nothing. The only thing I can think of is that my salary was too high, because I talked to other people and gauged that most were receiving much less, and usually in local currecny rather than in USD. And to think that I joined BairesDev precisely because they offered to pay much, much more than I was receiving in my previous company.
