Pros

There is a good atmosphere if you are coming from a small company. Free downtown parking, flexible hours, ping pong, arcade games, snacks. Depending on your department you may get the chance of solving some challenging problems.

Cons

You can only get 401k matching after a few years with the company. It's difficult to move up the ladder and harder to move within departments unless you're one of the best or you've been there a few years. The code base has almost no tests so be prepared to spend 90% of your time fixing bugs and 10% building features. The pay is low so experienced developers never stay long. Mid management doesn't have any previous experience managing, so there is a lot of miscommunication. As the new engineer be prepared to get the worst end of the stick unless you are very experienced. Since the IPO there have been numerous budget cuts, also stock was only given to privileged employees, so don't expect a stock program. The morale is low, mostly amongst engineers and support.

Pros

Willing to accept people with little to no experience. Come in and leave when you please. Generally little over sight over you. So you can work as you please. Great place to come to for experience and learn about what you don't want at a company. Vending machines where everything is 25 cents. If you bike/car pool / park in street you get a free lunch.

Cons

Its a point of pride with the managers they pay 15% below valley average. There is no feedback other than the yearly review which they nit pick anything you may have done wrong and do not allow you to explain yourself. If you get any feedback outside the annual review it means they are mad at you. The management all depends on your team. On my team the managers are basically useless. They issue tasks then disappear except to show up and throw more work on you or to complain. Even engineering is a rotating door. They just cannot keep people Despite what they say there are NO stock options until you have been there several years. There is no opportunity to move up. The company is run by the selected few who have been there a long time. Get on the bad side of any of them and your days are numbered. Its always a dance making sure you are in their good graces. Some of these people have very poor outlook on Indian Engineers. As people are constantly leaving we are constantly understaffed and desperate any time we have a new firmware push. Managers do not listen to the Quality Assurance Engineers or Developers saying the product is broken or even how long it will take to get stuff fixed. They have cameras in the office. One of the upper management loves to sit there and watch people in Michigan then call up managers and complain about people that aren't working. They use man in the middle attacks to stop encrypted info in case you are trying to use encrypted forms of chat

Pros

Its a good stepping stone for fresh graduates to know more about IT security and cybersecurity needs, but there are other companies for you to look into for career progression.

Cons

This company may seem like a very good place to work but I promise you it is not as it seems. The company middle and senior management is very unprofessional, they conduct business that doesn't relate to their mission statement and values. The management does not know how to work with the employees nor how to actually get work done, when anyone has to resign, they make your last few days unbearable. All three office managers are of the same nature, hidden agendas everywhere. The HR team is absolute trash, they try to make it look like they are communicating with you, but generally don't care what you say. There isn't much room to move up in the company and if there is, there are politics in your way. Compared to other companies, they pay their employees thousands less than other similar companies. I do not recommend anyone to work here, let alone apply for positions at the company.
