      Avoid Barracuda(India) if you can

      Pros

      You get a salary !!. Get a first hand experience of what not to do (that learning is also essential). Even bright hard working with good intentions cannot leave unscathed.

      Cons

      The symptoms are there when you walk in : About 40% of employees will be have less than 2 years of experience. For an organization that has been around for > 10 years , it should raise a question why do a significant number of employees quit after some time. Then there is the 'groupism' during lunch time. Plus the fact that it is an open secret that the india center is considered as the worst in all the offices in Barracuda . I can go on but this should be sufficient for anyone who has a choice in jobs to skip Barracuda or at least keep in mind that he will be back hunting for a job after some time

      Wiil give folks with no experience (whether in Sales, Support, Engineering, or Management) a chance.

      Will give folks with no experience (whether in Sales, support, Engineering, or Management) a chance. If you have experience, you may be inclined to run quickly. Has begged employees to submit positive reviews on glassdoor. No drug testing is made at any level of the Company, this is a fact. In the land of the blind, a one-eyed man is king. You may be a little amazed at those who accumulate accolades. Pay is definitely sub-standard. They know that if you are applying for this company, you have run through your better options. Experienced folks that hire-in often quickly vanish (at all levels of the company). Sometimes they flee, sometimes they are pushed out by the established staff with one-eye that do not welcome outside competition. IPO has only worsened employee benefits and compensation. There's nothing here for rank and file. It is telling that middle management has ongoing recruiting troubles even post-IPO.

      Pros

      Tremendous opportunities to learn and gain real world experience. Co-workers are friendly and willing to help. Free lunches. Great opportunity for people starting out in tech. The business culture is casual. There are pretty regular events and parties. The company recently IPO'd and seems to be on a positive trajectory.

      Cons

      Compensation seems low relative to competitors in region.
