Pros

Great work life balance, great people and office is in a great location. Frequent team nights out and social club outings all covered by the company. Strong engineering focus.

Cons

As expected with a consultancy firm the culture of the company is on the corporate side of things. This results in using slightly older frameworks and languages. Not much control on what projects you might end up in either.

Pros

Smart and agreeable teams providing great learning opportunities, through projects and available training. Management usually quite respectful of work/life balance, takes care of the team members' well-being.

Cons

Scope of team projects tends to stray from pure Business Consulting missions to big IT projects (ERP deployments), and thus longer single missions. Not permanent nor true for all team members, but something to be watchful for when joining and spend time advertising themselves internally.

Thanks for your feedback and we’re pleased that you found our people great to work with. I’m sorry that your experience at BearingPoint didn’t include as much training as you would have liked. All staff complete a minimum of 40 hours training per year and many staff complete training hours well in excess of that. In fact, in a consultant’s first few months with the company, each new hire attends BearingPoint School in Berlin for one week, a week that our people feel grows them both personally and professionally and where they have a lot of fun! In addition, we offer a wide array of training covering technical courses, personal development, on-the-job learning as well as an online portal that offers thousands of business and technical courses. The employment market in Dublin is buoyant indeed and while we never like to see our valued employees move on, we are proud that our staff turnover rates are very low, well below the industry average. Thanks again for your review and wishing you well in your career!
