Pros

As one of the big 4(maybe 5, or.... 6? whatever) consulting firms, it has great reputation and is a good place to start your career. The campus talk was excellent which absorbed me a lot to consider Bearing Point as the first step in my career path. It has good connection with the local government and state-owned companies, and got a lot of projects from them with high benefit. If you can show your benefit to Bearing Point, then your promotion will be fairly fast. Also, the connection between Bearing Point and Yale Management School is quite tight which means you will have the opportunity to learn in the top B-school, although only 1 week~

Cons

The salary is really NOT competitive comparing with other competitors such as IBM~ Maybe 20% lower comparing with IBM, but better than that of Accenture. Oh Accenture, what a shame on you~ It had the best Oracle ERP team in China - I mean: It had...... Now a lot of experienced ERP consultants in Bearing Point have gone to its competitors, and it becomes to lose its high quality customers. To be worth, it was deleted from the list on the big board, and each customer asks for a description. Personally, I do not know where this ship will sail to.

Pros

+ Defined path of career growth + Excellent company if you've just graduated college + Meet great people + Travel + Per Diem policy The travel was definitely both a perk and a pain at the same time. Having to wake up at 4AM on Monday morning to make that 7AM flight was definitely not one of the most exciting parts about the job, but the airline and hotel miles/points definitely provided something to look forward to when spending one of the 20 PTO days they give you.

Cons

+ Low employee morale + Limited projects + Travel + Review process is somewhat disconnected Many of the projects were pretty mundane and not the most exciting, but there's really nothing you can do about it. Their current financial situation incites a pretty low morale among workers which provides an overall "whatever" feeling in the office.

Pros

Experience and travel - I learned more about SQA than I thought I would. I also love travel and in 1.5 years I traveled to many different cities in the US and Canada. Also networked with some amazing people at the staff level and one senior manager that was truly amazing. These people knew SQA and how to help an enterprise achieve their SQA goals.

Cons

While I said travel was good, it is also bad. It kept me away from my family too much. Additoinally, management did not treat the lower levels of staff very well at all. I also worked with a couple of very unprofessional senior managers.
