Pros

Good learning environment for the consulting field - plenty of structure provided, but not a totalitarian "my way or the highway" environment. Management tends to be very pragmatic.

Cons

Currently experiencing corporate-level turbulence, getting in the way of how the company as a whole is viewed. As well, some internal business units are still reorganizing after the most recent CEO transition and related trickle-down.

Pros

BearingPoint was a good place to work right after splitting with KPMG. Some of the MDs really cared about the people. The company tries to right the ship by partnering with Yale for training.

Cons

BearingPoint was a good place to work right after splitting with KPMG. Since then, it's been downhill. Frequent changes at the top. Some managing directors care about people while the rest are all about themselves and only promote their drinking buddies and "other" buddies. Business development managers are a weak bunch. Those worth their pays are no longer with the company. Instead of selling more, the company lays off the work force instead!!

Pros

Exciting work with exciting clients. Strong client loyalty opens unique strategic opportunities with client firms as does repeat business and repeat projects. Very broad variety of solution specialists help provide great breadth of client service opportunities as well as learning opportunities for team members.

Cons

Turnover reduces institutional memory. Very now focused - not enough long term strategic focus. Need better bench support. Need to invest in more thought leadership and solutions approaches.
