Pros

You can work remotely and you receive monthly meal tickets

Cons

The company seems to have a high turnover rate, especially among, but not limited to, senior technical staff. The management style is dictatorial, with dissenting opinions being discouraged and often met with additional work or bullying. Feedback, though occasionally requested, is often dismissed as irrelevant. The local management is seen as incompetent and more focused on pleasing higher-ups than actual work. Good work is rewarded with even more work, overtime is encouraged, expected, and unpaid. There’s a perceived lack of respect for technical experts and a culture of blaming everyone for management’s incompetence. The company has a low regard for best practices, with concepts often misunderstood and poorly implemented. Any desire for refactoring is met with ignorance, hostility, deception, scepticism, people just put obstacles in your way, followed of course by the classic finger pointing in which you are to blame for the project’s failure. The general impression is that this blame game is the standard throughout the entire organization, even people working in non-technical departments experience it in high dosage.
