Pros

You make your own path in the company. No company is just going to hand you a promotion (except a government job)... too many people want hand outs these days. If you're willing to put in the effort, you'll get rewarded. Most of Best Buy's senior leadership has risen through the ashes of this company. Best Buy isn't the kind of company that goes out and hires some random Columbia grad to run the company. It hires people that understand its culture. The discount is good and if you're fortunate enough to be full time the benefits aren't all that bad either.

Cons

You have to be patient. And well... it's retail. If people aren't buying... you're not working.
