Free food. Get to work with the terminal. Employees are friendly and helpful.

Cons

Position was supposed to be as financial analyst. Turned out to be nothing more than data mining and copying pasting on excel spread sheets.

I worked at Bloomberg for over 8 years. I was able to move to different departments. If you do a good job and they like you as a person, you will definitely be well compensated. Compensation and bonus depends on how much profit your department makes though. If you are smart and a go getter, it is easy to move up the ladder to become a team leader or manager. People who work there are really nice and helpful.

Cons

People who have been there a long time and complacent are being "let go" and replaced by younger people for half the price.
