Pros
In Bloomberg management definitely think that engineers are their greatest asset and they invest a lot into their engineers. There are multiple big internal conferences every year, hundreds of continues education courses anyone can attend, it's quite simple to sign up for attending external conferences like CppCon as well. Bloomberg gives away most of their revenue for philanthropy, you can also sing up to multiple various activities yourself, like planting trees, helping homeless etc.
Cons
The compensation is a bit lower comparing to FAANG. There's also no tech lead career path for most senior engineers not wanting to become a manager. On a bright site you can contribute beyond your team.
