Pros

A truly great working environment. 95% of the people I get to work with on a daily basis (including my upper management) are enthused about the work they are doing.

Cons

Work / life balance is always a concern, but it is hard to call that a downside when you truly enjoy being in the office.

Pros

Its a truly unique place to work - very enriching, challenging and generally with a very good and strong culture. Its hard work and long hours (you know that before), but you its amazing how much you can do not only in this job but specifically this company. People have a high integrity, are in general very supportive and its a great place to learn a wide range of capabilities.

Cons

Firstly: Work-life balance vastly differs depending on the practice area you specialize in, but in some specific ones it certainly critical. Secondly: Even though the performance review process is well developed the promotion process (in performance-quintiles) is not very transparent and could certainly be improved. Lastly: More appreciation of good performance and supporting the top-performers better would not hurt.

Pros

Fantastic exposure to Fortune 500 firms and their management teams. Great sense of camaraderie amongst the associate class. Good learning experiences, when you have the chance to work on a variety of projects. Can get time 'on the beach' in between projects - essentially paid vacation, but you're still tied to the blackberry

Cons

Work life balance goes out the window, particularly in the Americas. Long hours are expected, but hopefully moderated by client need. Weekend work in the office is rare (twice in 2 years) but checking emails on Sunday night is expected. 55h a week as an 'average' is true, but counts any 0's for beach time - so variance around that can be quite high.
