The benefits are excellent but this is offset by a few significant things. The comp is below market value, the culture is poor, and the workload is extremely high. I have never before witnessed so much disrespect and negativity in the workplace. Reading other reviews, the culture may be different in other departments. Although based on what I’ve seen from other groups, I’m not convinced. In Finance, the culture is ripe with passive-aggressive, exclusive, and overall toxic behavior. I wish I had known this before joining as it has taken a huge toll on my mental health.
Another point worth mentioning is for all of the long hours and pain you endure, there is such a limited potential for advancement unless you move teams/functions. Odd for an organization that is hyper-focused on hierarchy and status.
Anyone and everyone is looking to take their stress out on you verbally and/or passive-aggressively and that has been normalized.
