Pros

High visibility, work with top managers, rapid change of project, quick and deep insight of different businesses/issues/opportunities, understanding of the industries and companies, very smart people

Cons

Still pretty much local; you never decide - you suggest, with all the implications related to; WLB is not hell but at the same time is not really good

Pros

Great projects - you will definitely never get bored Intelligent people - with lots of drive and passion Possibility to travel around the globe - and get a flavour of local culture and behaviours through joint teams

Cons

High workload - 80 hours / week are rather standard than the exception Cross boarder staffing - limited influence whether you are staffed abroad or in town Top-down driven - strong involvement of majority of Partners with limited responsibility (depending on Partner)

Pros

- Smart coworkers and managers who I could count on for valuable input - Good compensation, travel perks, and excellent health benefits - High amount of responsibility early in career helped me develop - Skills and brand helped find a much better, more interesting job in my chosen sector (though BCG connections/network was not useful at all in social impact space)

Cons

- Many times, the team's role at client is not actually helpful - but just to sell more work - "Client" cases mean positioning things on unnecessary slides. "Strategy" means trying to sell cost-cutting and pricing projects. "Org" means firing people who work in the cubicles you pass every day - Almost no social impact practice, despite what they say - very difficult to get on public sector projects, because we weren't selling enoug
