Pros

they pay you. Some nice and smart people.

Cons

BCG is full of SNAKES. Every man for himself, trust no one. Organizational culture is one of insecurity to force you to conform. Where intellectual curiosity is traded out for a love for hotels and airfare.

Pros

Overall, I love BCG. Great place to work that's making strides in the industry. The firm's digital capabilities are rapidly expanding and also coalescing into a strong offering for its client. But BCG is not a monolithic entity. The culture and quality vary greatly by office.

Cons

The Dallas office is one to avoid...at least go into it eyes wide open. Plenty of political infighting, weak partners and a focus on office profitability make for a toxic environment that's counter to what BCG is really about (and very different from the rest of the firm.) Although it describes itself as familial, it's cliquish. If you fit in and make friends with the "right" people, you might do well, regardless of your merit. Don't make the effort to play the game and you won't do well, regardless of your effort. You're either in or you're out. Sadly this is allowed to persist by the system and regional management. The office has also had its fair share of harassment issues and other workplace misconduct.
