Pros

Love life at BCG! Amazing offices and global presence - opportunity to work with people everywhere. Amazing benefits - fully covered by the org. Great leadership and always transparent with employees. Flexible work life and environment. Work to better their employees both personally and professionally

Cons

BCG is large and matrixed, so can be hard to really know the entire org, but I've loved every second of my experience!

Pros

Everyone is curious, motivated and eager to learn - even the internal, non-client facing staff. The team dynamics are generally great and supportive. Strong leadership focus on supporting teams, changing our ways of working when necessary, and focusing on value (rather than work for work's sake). Great benefits that just keep getting better - 6 months paid paternity, fertility insurance, great life insurance etc.

Cons

Working environment can be very intense - while generally my hours have been better than my peers over 5 years (average ~9am - 730pm) there are days or weeks where they go to 10pm or 12pm. Even for those with children, a 'sustainable' working model is suggested as 9am-5pm then 730pm-11pm as working hours...! On the (rare) occasion someone is horrible to work with and creates supreme extra stress for the team, little seems to be done in reality to change their approach or get rid of them.

Pros

No progression opportunities for women. Male colleagues seem to be promoted quickly, offered opportunities to work abroad, offered job placements abroad

Cons

Men and women should have equal opportunities. It is time to wake up and do a quick analysis on how many women were promoted or offered a placement abroad as opposed to men in BCG and I probably need to emphasise white men. It is time to wake up BCG
