Pros

I worked at Brenntag in the Solvents department. The manager was very supportive and if there was a problem then he was more than happy to sit down and try and get it resolved. If deliveries were late to clients he would get stuck in and try and work out why it hadn't worked. He is now a Director and I understand that he still gets his "Hands dirty" and hasn't forgotten what its like to be one of the minions dealing with the customers.

Cons

In all honesty I am not sure if I am looking at this division through rose coloured glasses but I cant think of any cons. The Solvents Division is very well run. The only reason I left was that I changed career path and went back to University.

Pros

There benefits are affordable. Several locations through out the United States but is foreign owned. Well established in the industry and stable.

Cons

Company is run by a "good ole boys" mentality with upper management. With the decline in the industry in previous years they have created an environment of distrust and paranoia. There is no loyalty for longevity or dedication. It is a environment writhe with "CYA". After more than 10 years of employment I found it a struggle not to let the negativity in.

Pros

-Nice Co-workers and helpful -Benefits are good

Cons

-Management only cares about the sales team -Little to no appreciation for support staff who actually work -Lack of support staff and you are expected to work after work hours to keep up, this results in lower employee morale. -Pay below market average and no bonuses -Lack of internal training - no flow of knowledge from people near retirement. -Resistant to change -Employees don't feel valued
