      Pros

      Very collaborative environment. Access to great computing resources. Low living cost when staying in French side with reasonable commuting time (~10 minutes one way).

      Cons

      Too intense meeting schedules. Almost impossible for a permanent position.

      Great place for self-development. Nice financial conditions and bonuses. Flexible work time. Many holidays.

      Cons

      Short duration contracts. Perspectives depends on group one works for.

CERN offers a variety of different opportunities for students and young graduates but also for experienced professionals varying from short-term to long-term duration contracts. Also with a recently reviewed contract policy we aim of increase long-term opportunities in the near future.

      Pros

      The place to be for learning new things and kickstart your career. Freedom to attend various conferences and talks taking place at CERN, even during work hours. Everyone listens to what you have to say and provide feedback.
