      Pros

      You work with smart collegues, have an interesting working environment, top notch research, good tax-free salary, cheap mandatory health insurance, young teams.

      Cons

      The infastructure and offices are very old and should be renovated. The offices are far from Geneva, work might require a car due to travel/staying on the French side.

We do indeed consider CERN's workforce to consist of some of the most intelligent and motivated researchers in the world so we take great pride in our employees and the ever-changing and active work environment they help create. CERN was established in 1954 and has been developing ever since so renovating and improving the infrastructure on a site of this scale is one of our main concerns. At CERN, there are annual performance evaluations for all employees that could and have in the past resulted in one's termination of contract when justly decided so.       Thank you very much for your review and comments. We are glad to learn that you have had a positive experience. CERN isn't centrally located in Geneva due to the nature and grandeur of its infrastructure. However, the city center, as well as the airport, are easily and quickly accessible by public transport.
