      Worst place I've ever worked

      Pros

      -If you work in Fundão/Portugal you get a discount on the rent. -They con good people into working there, so some of the colleagues are nice and friendly. They have a relocation package for expats.

      Cons

      -Dumb project managers that don't know anything about the business. -Unnecessary and unreasonable pressure all the time. -Work at night and on weekends without receiving for it. -A lot of bureaucracy on day to day work, lots of forms to fill and hour to point everywhere. -Salary below the market. -Very low energy place, seems nobody is happy, everybody is worried all the time and unsatisfied with their roles and with their managers. -Office politics is very present. Backstabbing and malicious rumors are a common thing. -They have "experts" that don't know what they are doing really.

      Pros

      - Relocation package is really a plus - Travel often - Car is a benefit

      Cons

      In Altran all that matters is money whatever it takes. Software quality concerns only will be on the table if the client explicitly ask for it. The management is way over disorganised. The recruitment process is really weak, so you end up working with experts who doesn't know the basics. From far it was the worst professional experience I have ever had.

      OK for fresh graduates, experienced folks -- stay away.

      Pros

      The company is a good place to gain experience working on real-life problems -- just what fresh graduates need. Don't overstay though.

      Cons

      The career path and salary augmentation isn't up to the market, moreover, when negotiating with facts in hand the management will try to guilt you... eventually the truth will surface -- consulting (low gearing model) just unable to pay more, which affect seniors and experienced folks big time -- you likely to get 2x-4x the same pay while doing the same. There is no culture in the company, just survival.
