Pros

Plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, thanks to access to great training programs and resources right from the start. Onboarding was smooth and stress-free, with clear communication and a supportive HR team that made the transition easy. The work culture feels welcoming and collaborative, with approachable colleagues and managers who are ready to help.

Cons

Project allocation can take time, which might lead to a waiting period before actual work begins.

Pros

Have been at Capgemini for 3 years, they definitely treat it's people well with their amazing WFH policy specifically and the colleagues that you get to work with truly make they days go quicker. It has been the most diverse and friendly place I have worked at for sure. If you value the work life balance- it's definitely the place for you!

Cons

The lack of investment in it's colleagues across the board is quite disappointing- especially for graduates. Training for them is vague and almost non existent, I was shocked to here about the lack of training they received on skills/ theories that would help them in their specific roles. They always say 'get the future you want' but how can you just leave them to their own devices completely, especially if they are just starting out in the corporate world? Capgemini developed internal 'certifications' are offered instead of externally recognised certification and it is surprising that they don't sponsor membership to associations such as APM like other well known organisations. Feels a bit scammy. Pay is generally a bit below market average but loyalty is not financially rewarded at this company. The disparity in pay between colleagues of the same grade, who have only worked at Capgemini for their entire professional career since leaving uni vs colleagues who have joined in recent years actually makes my jaw drop. I have heard so many stories about colleagues who have been at Capgemini for years who's salaries have had to be topped up by £1-2k as their salaries are well below the median of their respective grades. Also you always hear about colleagues leaving and coming back on 6 figures- where is the same energy for your longstanding employees? For a consultancy, there could be more fluidity between accounts and projects. You can easily be stuck with a specific account for years and the range of customers at the moment seems quite limited to secured accounts (limiting your freedom to work outside the country) The type of work you do is not groundbreaking, it feels like Capgemini are about 5-10 years behind the curve and you tend to see the same things delivered over and over again in a slightly different font. Account leads are often 'Yes' people, to the detriment to the wider teams. They seem to not want to rock the boat and influence/ collaborate to create better long term solutions for customers. No bonuses are rewarded to colleagues until you reach quite a senior grade which feels unfair to lower graded colleagues who are making significant impact and improvement to the company.
