Pros

Excellent geographic foot print and leading edge tools for clients. No real negatives except the organzational strucuture in the post-Kanbay world is a bit top heavy and reporting lines are a bit unclear.

Cons

None really. Its a very good firm, particulalry compared to our competition. We have the best toold for client delivery and we focus specifically on certian market segments so we are really good at what we do. In some cases we need to expand beyond that but its hard to get people to take a risk (Indian mentality???) and enter a new part of the market.

Pros

Global Reach - Capgemini has given a global perspective to my career. You quickly get to be involved in very interesting projects. Capgemini has taught me a great deal of self-awareness and perseverance. With Capgemini my career is an exciting combination of Technology and Consulting.

Cons

Capgemini does not provide me a supportive framework to combine my career with having a family. There is an environment that suggests that iif you're not on a project, you will be fired - even if its not your fault that you're on the bench

Pros

There is a good atmosphere and Capgemini generally employs staff who are focused on good delivery and mutual support. Everyone makes a valid contribution and promotion is based on your capability rather than some of the more negative means of climbing up the ladder. It is a fair employer in terms of diversity.

Cons

It is probably an industry norm, but the hours are long and it often means working weekends. Over the past few years there has been a distinct reduction of investment in activities that boost moral and team spirit and that in turn is changing the atmosphere within the company
