Pros

Easy to get hired. People can’t quit fast enough. Entire teams will quit within a few months of each other, and they’ll plug in anyone to take their place.

Cons

Now that I’ve been out of Capgemini for years, I see even more clearly how truly awful the culture is. It’s goes beyond just unpleasantness and being “toxic.” I wish I had spoken to an employment lawyer during my time at Cap. The project leads are usually narcissists who have no qualms about lying to your face and making you responsible for their mistakes. Even worse things happen that you can’t post in a Glassdoor review. Cap is a nightmare place to work. Get out as fast as you can.

Pros

They support training and a larger company with good resources. They are willing to let you grow into roles and provide constant learning and up skilling opportunities. Benefits are somewhat competitive, although nothing special compared to other large Tech companies.

Cons

Very little recognition opportunities if you keep your head down and work hard. You have to play the game (typical in consulting) and make sure people see you working, regardless of the quality of your work. I would say the worst part is compensation, which is subpar compared to their competitors and this leads them to being bad at retaining home trained talent. All of this combines to foster an environment where the smartest and brightest are never fully bought into the company, as the best move for them career wise will be to move on in 3-5 years max.
