Pros

for the DC Metro area, the compensation for tech is good but not competitive with Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc. Good snack selection in the 1750 Tysons office 401k match is excellent health insurance is also pretty cheap

Cons

don't like how new grads have almost no control on their 2nd rotation performance management (bottom ~10% of employees get PIPed/fired)

Pros

- Lot of development opportunities, very supported by management. - Great culture, lots of young folks. - Working with modern technology, everything in on AWS.

Cons

Too many compliance, security remediation work, can feel like a fulltime job just from it some times.

Pros

Fantastic work-life balance, at least in the Chicago office. Being a bank you get off extra holidays than many places, so it's like having a little extra PTO around.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy since it's such a large corporation. You're also working for a credit card company that makes money off of people who are in debt to them, so whatever your feelings are towards that it should play a role in your decision.
