Great Place to Work

Pros

Very fast paced and fun environment. The location where I worked had several buildings and great places to eat. I enjoyed the agile work environment. Loved having a laptop and having a choice of where I could work. I'd often have back to back meetings in different buildings. I will always remember my experience at Capital One. I enjoyed it a lot.

Cons

Very fast paced environment. You have to catch on quickly! Processes were constantly changing. Just as things started to make sense and you became very good at a process, the next day you come in and everything had changed. Sometimes that included a change in management, restructuring of departments, or layoffs.

Culture

Pros

The open culture fosters an environment where managers feel comfortable challenging the norm and driving toward a better customer experience. One of the best companies I have ever worked for. Benefits, PTO, salary all exceptional.

Cons

As with most FI's - there are many financial impacts to this industry which is driving a "do more with less" environment. That can be challenging to keep moral up.
