Pros

Good benefit, flexible hours and good work life balance. Embrace analytics and fact based decision. A good learning environment to get exposure to new tools and innovations.

Cons

A level of hierarchy exists. Management perspective can be difficult to change. Can take years to get promoted if not on a fast track.

Pros

1) Great work life balance - Departmental fun days to theme parks 2) Relaxed work schedule 3) Pay is unmatched

Cons

1) Easier to move up in the company if you leave and come back 2) Analyst positions are assigned mainly on the target school you come from 3) Most DA positions have little to no actual data analysis. Glorified report puller.

Unofficial Hiring Freeze in Richmond

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Onsite gym, the ability to work from home, great co-workers

Cons

Super political environment, nepotism, and poor leadership in the mid levels. Managers will use assorted data to hide behind making any true managerial decisions. There is a hiring freeze in Richmond, making mobility very difficult. Capital One cannot stay out of the news with their shady business practice. The work from home option really just means you are going to be working about 12 more hours than you would in a normal work environment every week.
