Great culture Very smart people High bar for performance

Cons

Great company for Business analysis job family. BA’s lead strategy , own P&L and occupy all the leadership positions Product is essentially just executing top down intent coming from BA’s. There are some pockets of actual product work but they are far and few- retail bank, premium card experience ( venture, savor) and potentially capital one labs. However these are side shows. Key places that make money are the BA shows. Better to come in as a BA and move internally to a hybrid BA- product role if possible to get the full scale of strategy and execution

This is a large company- different lines of business and different teams can make for a vastly different experience. But the through line is that generally people really make an effort to be supportive and kind, and there is a lot of understanding for family commitments and support for prioritizing work life balance including at the leadership level.

Cons

For someone looking to put in the hours to grow their career, this isn’t really the place, imo. Advancement can be tough depending on org. Some teams are much worse than others in terms of product opportunity.
