Easy work, good pay but hard to advance

Pros

Good pay, great experience with a Fortune 200 company and a very recognizable Brand. If you are looking to build your resume as a brand strategist and get great hands on learnings the Brand Department is good.

Cons

Too many lifers, too top heavy, narrow thinking and passive aggressive management. No one leaves and Capital One does like firing people so there are very limited spaces at the top of the department. I have been a 'top performer" for 3 year, getting the highest bonus you can but still not advancing.

Great benefits, good work life balance. There is a lot of consideration and thought given to the work environment which makes going to the office relatively comfortable.

Cons

Some managers do not know how to manage. They take the approach of "I'm always right and you just need to accept that" and they are not open to discussion or an alternate view.
