Pros

Company pays well and the range is broad for the role. Perks are good and comparable with market.

Cons

Zero work life balance Leadership with C level is awesome, but middle level management is really where the trouble is. Directors and VPs strive for show casing with innovation but none cares about building matured products. My push for building quality reusable frameworks was never respected. Agile framework are being used inappropriately for projects that has fixed requirements. The employees are relatively young and spoiled middle management is costing young and talented generation coached bad practices for short wins hence loosing long term visions.

Training opportunities, will learn a lot. Lots of free food and drinks.

Cons

Environment has changed, some managers push beyond reason. No matter how much you do, they want more. If you are doing less than 60-70hr/week manager downgrades your review to below average. I’ve now heard from others facing same challenges from other managers.

Pros

The benefits offered are among the best available for the area. You get 10% time to learn or work on something that interests you. You have access to many online courses and books plus a wide community of developers. Great facilities really good canteen with multiple meal options every day. As a software engineer you get the latest MacPro, wide monitor, standing desk, unlimited coffee and a really comfy chair. A good work life balance flexible to accommodate most child care commitments. Management encourage associates to get involved in corporate responsibility events.

Cons

Getting used to all the acronyms will take you a few months (but there is always someone willing to help!) No parking available on site for most associates. On the other hand, support for travel to work is good e.g. NCT, Tram, cycle.
