The money isn't great for a care and support worker. There is sometimes pressure to take on a bit more work than you can handle which can get very tiring. As it's zero hours contract, you could get breaks in strange times and it's not great when your stuck in your car as there is no point going home.

They'll hire anyone. The manager is two faced as slates most of the care staff behind their backs, sending nasty videos about them and calling them female genital slang words on an office group chat. The working hours are sometimes in excess of 70 hours a week, and if you say no to doing them you're pushed to one side and made to feel like you aren't pulling your weight. Some staff aren't trained properly, and some can't even speak proper English or spell four letter words properly. Medication errors go uninvestigated and clients who are supposed to have X2 carers don't always have that because there mobility careplan isn't up to date / they don't have enough staff who will go there because we've all hurt ourselves when there. Flakey support given to you if you're not liked by the office team.
