Pros

Great employee benefits, fantastic organisational values at its core

Cons

Can be a challenge to deliver due to the political hurdles and too many people trying to please people for personal gain over customer/member benefits.

Pros

Some of the people you meet are really nice The work is fairly simple with training provided for any new additions to the store. Good progression opportunities. I have been there for about 11 weeks (it was a new store that opened) and am already becoming a team leader despite having no previous retail experience.

Cons

Overstocked. You get sent too many deliveries. It gets to the point where you can’t fit it all in the warehouse and can’t put it all on the shop floor. It becomes a health and safety concern. Some equipment will continuously break. Our lift breaks all the time. One of our self checkout won’t scan reductions. Our panic buttons don’t work. Theft. My store experience a lot of theft, with some being quite aggressive and stealing hundreds of pounds worth of stock. Head office won’t put a security guard on the door though.
