Pros

If abuse is your kink, you might like it here.

Cons

No respect for employee contributions, abysmal salary increases (Cognizant generated billions in revenue, but it wasnt as many billions as they should have, so company wide salary increases were 1% for 2024. Constant threat of layoffs, and secrecy regarding these. They do not want to risk losing worker enthusiasm before they have extracted every drop of productivity from you. You are just a number, and the rules do not apply to everyone across the company. What is appropriate/expected for one project is opposite what is appropriate/expected in another. Moving projects is also a political game. If you don't know the right people, do not expect to be reassigned from the bench. More likely, you will be retained there for 5 weeks with little to no project interviews, then laid off for failure to contribute to any project.

Pros

Good for freshers only and less than 6 years of experience.Good salary at joining as a lateral hire.

Cons

No personal growth. 10% mandatory lowest rating and they will not get any project if is a senior member. Cognizant force them to resign. The performance improvement plan (PIP) is not there and in the name of PIP, they will conduct illegal examination not relevant to technology you worked.T hat's the way they invented now to reduce employee strength. Do not join if you are a senior employee. HR is horrible, often make a false statement. Do not Join Cognizant now if you are more than 10 years experience!!!!!!!! Cognizant invested lot of money recently and hired good lawyer so that they can legally find a way to resign/terminate an employee. You will not get anything except bread and butter !!

Pros

Good onsite oppurtunities; rest everything depends on account to account. Only freshers and dumps at offshore can talk good about company as they dont have the real company.

Cons

No solid control in the organization by top management. Everyone is boss in their own area. High level of politics if you need an accelerated growth. No advance trainings in areas of digital, automation, cloud, etc but ceo only talks about digital in his every mail and videos. Purely, a staffing company. Real cts you will know if you work onsite for a long time.
