Your growth heavily relies on the project you are assigned to. Working environment can vary a lot depending on your team, and it seems that most of the time, it is an uphill battle. You will find that if you do not buddy up with your manager, you will see underperformers do well in their year end review, and you'd be left with a subpar rating. Their learning platform is abysmal and extremely difficult to use. It is almost impossible to reach your learning goals using their platform, and the worst of it all is that the inability to complete your learning goals will directly impact your year end review. You can be the best employee ever and get an extremely low rating, just because Cognizant's learning portal is broken and you were not able to complete your learning goals. Unfortunately, Cognizant would rather choose someone who is an odd-fit for the job, rather than get someone who fits perfectly but costs more. Reduce cost by all means necessary seems to be in Cognizant's DNA, and in many instances that makes for shoddy work.
