An Awful Job

Pros

SOME experience, I have to place at least5 words for pros, but that's literally it.

Cons

They don't pay you what you're worth, nor do they pay you reflecting the amount of work they give you. TA's are petty and act like childish high schoolers, they all gossip amongst themselves. Most of management does not assist, only MY manager ever helps me, anybody else? Forget it. Then they wonder why you're on hold for so long. They have a "Step level" Program that determines if you get a raise, but it's biased so you DON'T get a raise. I've been working with the company for 2 years and work in 9 departments. My pay hasn't been raised a cent. They show no acknowledgment to employees work or appreciation, they'll send out a "kudos" email, which means absolutely nothing and barely even do that half the time. Then they wonder why people keep leaving. They're understaffed as it is, meaning its just more work for the people there. They just want to fill in the seats, the training is last minute and rushed, and they lie to their clients. I despise this job.

Pros

They're really aren't any except you get a paycheck.

Cons

They didn't opt to have employees work from home until half the employees didn't go to work and they had been reported several times. Management had been set up to work from home already so while they were forcing employees to go in management got to stay safe in there homes. They have benefits but they aren't that great. You have two high deductible health plans, one classic PPO with a copay structure and one limited coverage plan which basically just keeps you from getting a tax penalty. The 401k was matched a 3% but they had stopped matching management way before the pandemic and during the pandemic they stopped matching everyone's 401k. While in office they would throw parties but the employees would supply the food and do the decorating in between calls. They just implemented a program to increase employees pay but prior to that to there had not been pay raise for several years. It took employees trying to start a union to get them to increase wages. A union in which I've personally heard management try and block. Most training is a joke . Some trainers are great but the majority just give you the question and answer for the test. Oh and of someone has a problem with you they don't speak to you directly about instead they're just petty.

Management Pulled Up in the Clown Car, Right?

Pros

Working from home. BUT - LONG hours overworked and underappreciated. Literally no other ones. Most of the people suck and are unhappy to a toxic degree.

Cons

Where do I start? No, really - where? Salary not bad for those in senior levels and bonus structure good - IF they actually paid you for hitting their targets. Which they don't. Will pull out every excuse in the book to not pay what you rightfully earned. Bonus plan - doesn't matter, they all say they change it at any time, even after you've hit your numbers and it's December. Unrealistic sales expectations and a joke of sales leadership. These people live in an alternate sales universe where they think you will sell $50M to a customer that you haven't hit SLAs for in 6 months. Those of us in sales try to paint a picture of the account and we get told terrible analogies for why a rough spot in a relationship isn't a reason to walk away from trying to sell. Unrealistic sales quotas, budgets and NPS score targets for a company that is basically failing at everything they do. Treated like bad misbehaved children when sales don't go our way and belittled in front of dozens of others for how bad we suck at our jobs.
