We can communicate with the DHL dock employees and we know they get treated better than us here at SER and they definitely get compensated more. This is low for morale all around. The health insurance is so expensive but just under the amount to which you can qualify for the affordable care act insurance. You have to use your personal cell phone but they do not pay you enough for a plan that has unlimited minutes or data. They do not give seasonal raises/bonuses to their good drivers. Their holidays are only a fraction of what DHL offers in the Europe locations. SER has tried to cut hours AFTER the fact. They do not employ enough managers, upper management. It seems like 3 managers are trying to do the job six should be doing. Amazon is growing so fast but the staff is not growing to keep up.

DHL european management flocked to the US operation, replaced many excellent managers with their own people, and refused to listen to Airborne managers/VPs who knew how the domestic US operation ran. Remember that DHLs domestic US operation was less than 10% of what Airborne's was at time of merger. DHL arrogance killed the domestic US operation.
