Backbreaking work in the middle of the night for not enough pay

- opportunity for advancement if you can stick with it for a year and apply to all the advancement opportunities you qualify for

Cons

- work outside exposed to the elements or inside - pay is a bit low for the hard word you put in. - Very high turnover rate - Due to high turnover you are often sent to other areas of the operation to fill in for manpower shortage and these are typically much more exhausting than your roll. - management can seem to view ramp workers as inferior in my view

It was a pretty good job. Wide variety of responsibilities. Days flew by because we were busy.

Cons

Left to run office operations often. The manager at our location was very unprofessional. She would leave for 2 hours and come back. Expected us to do a lot of her duties. We had horrible office supplies, desks falling apart etc. The station money was a bonus for the manager if it wasn't spent, so she kept it and we had unsafe working environments.
