Great global company, poor senior management quality in Asia, fragmented HR policies

Global, cosmopolitan, meet people from everywhere in the world, lots of potential as a game changer in the logistics sector

Cons

Be very careful of senior management in Asia, HR is totally unstructured and differ between corporate and business divisions, quality of senior management is poor and there is a strong expatriate circle

Opportunities for advancement. Good pay and benefits package. Decent life to work balance. The day to day operations offered something new on a regular basis.

Cons

Lack of direction in regards to long term planning. Seemed to be more reactive than proactive. The company has resources, but they are not always utilized in the best way.

Pros

Opportunity to work on interesting things that aren't 'set in stone' yet - you can bring creativity to new things! Open to new ideas.

Cons

History brings a bit of bureaucratic tendency.... the heart of the company is the German post office which brings a long tradition of success through time-tested efficiency... you can get a letter anywhere in Germany in a day... so this 'success' brings some inflexibility when looking at a global company. The company business divisions also have a very federated model and in some cases a bit more central direction would be helpful!
