Pros
Strong on customer service - most managers have to go through "first choice" training. Good internal job website for onward progression worldwide. Strong on diversity in global head office (don't know whether this is the case in the countries) - we have people from around the world, whilst women have the opportunity to reach the very top - we have quite a few female CxO's. Strong expat social scene in Bonn due to the high amount of DHL expats + T Mobile + UN + Deutsche Telekom + University + Deutsche Welle + the international schools.
Cons
Worklife balance is poor - 50 hrs at my desk is quite good and people in other divisions say the same. I think that's because we're global head office, so take that with a pinch of salt. With the exception of some Asian countries, payrises over 10% are exceptionally difficult to get.
