      Solid place to start in IT

      Pros

      - Atmosphere at service desk is very good. Very international crew mixed with Czech/Slovak/Polish - No contact with end user, only with fellow DHL employees, so most callers are polite and understanding - Very wide support for many dozens of applications and services, one call you teach someone how to use setup Outlook signatures, next call can be very technical and challenging and require cooperation with second and third line support teams. You will learn a little bit about everything making DHL a good place for orienting yourself in what you like about IT. - Extremely stable company, always looking for people - once you're in and are reasonably good at something you can spend the rest of your days here - Management is friendly and approachable, often seen on the floor - Flexible with planning holidays, 5 'free' sickness days and lunch benefits of ~70Kc/workday

      Cons

      - Office environment (design) is quite grey looking and boring. - Products, services and portals that we support and use are often not user friendly, often have to deal with calls where users are frustrated with slow processes. Improvement of processes is extremely slow. Internal products could use some serious UI and process designers. We may 'only' support employees but those are still thousands of people - it should be worth improving their experience as well. - Quite high percentage of leavers in less than a year so it's an uphill battle to maintain knowledge of processes/complicated cases - it sometimes feels you're reinventing the wheel just because somebody forgot to write down how to make one before they left.
