Pros
I have been with CSC for over 15 years, for the first 12 years pay was competitive and I have always had directors who were fair and overall good bosses to work for.
Cons
In the last 5 years promotions have been limited and there have been no raises. With all of the layoffs, job security is very low. The company spends millions on consultants however the overall culture of the company has gotten worse. All vacation within the US (and any country without work counsels) is not accrued so while it's advertised as flex vacation and you can take as much vacation as you want, vacation must be approved by your manager. Typically work weeks are 50 hours if you are salaried, and even then you are expected to work ever longer. And you reward is that you might not make the next round of layoffs.
