Many weak, politicised teams & some influential factional partners (hidden from day to day) means strong likelihood your career will be entirely in their hands, and likely well below (or, on rare occasions, above) 'average' pace. If you are dipping in and out of these firms as a concrete plan, that would be a good use of your term here. But don't delude yourself - count yourself as 'not a special one' to avoid almost inevitable disappointment!
