Pros

Friendly colleagues and pay scale

Cons

I would want to put my story out there and share my unpleasant experience with Deloitte during my short tenure, I joined in talent acquisition team in Oct 2022. Things seemed pretty great initially but turned upside down when I had down my papers and shared reason with my leaders that my spouse and I where soon having a baby and need some flexibility and could not travel for work. They said they could not lend any support and appreciate my decision of resigning. I was pretty sad that the Deloitte culture I knew and the support which I had during my last tenure was pretty awesome. Unfortunately it wasn't the same this time. Anyways I tried managing things personally and as couple we decided we will some how and manage things, hence I decided to withdraw my resignation. when I discussed with my managers, they said they could not help and support me anyway. well there could have been better management of the situation with little sensitivity, as company encourages employee flexibility. I think I left the organization with seeing its dark side and how insensitive are the leaders in Deloitte now.

Pros

Some of my coworkers were cool, and there's often free food.

Cons

Too many to name. I was lured in with the promise of work-life balance. Work-life balance is nonexistent. Working 16 hour days isn't uncommon. Part of why I left was because I was told I was leaving "early" because I always left at 6. If you're at the Mechanicsburg USDC, expect 60+ hour weeks. Not every project is like that, but many of them are. I was told no every time I tried to stand up for myself, or get shorter, more reasonable hours. They're desperate for more employees, so expect to be doing enough work for three people, but you won't be paid for that. Many projects are chaos. They aren't structured well, nothing is organized, people constantly say they'll do things and then don't, and because everyone is so busy, it's difficult to find help when you need it. If you want code that is cheap and delivered quickly, it will not be good. Deloitte is a perfect example of this. The applications they build are not pretty, and if you value having an organized system in place to get work done right the first time, do not work here. In fact, do not work here unless you want to work 70 hours a week for way less money than you'd be making working 40 anywhere else.

Pros

Only Pros seen is Laptops are given at the same day of joining with every thing configured already.

Cons

Favouritism is there among managers. Lot of emphasis given to networking and not real Talent. Bad HR management while leaving the organisation (They don't give relieving letters on the last day) and settlement amount of last month Notice period will be only given after receiving date of relieving letter and ideally it will take 45 - 50 days. No Exit Interview, HR (ELE) team is not bothered for Employee Retain process. Bad Performance Rating process, Instead of Managers giving final ratings , HR makes Counsellor accountable (Counsellors are people one level above employee level) and from different area all together. Counsellors are not bothered about your career, they give very unbiased feedback and without having much interactions with you throughout the year. (Very bad feedback policy overall). Networking, Mastery in English, Running after Managers are given much importance. Company is not for the people who likes to work hard and serious by nature and likes to work in silos (You need to be outgoing to events, Good in Networking, Good in Buttering Managers, and Very out Vert). If you are from SI service line or from IM service line , the Hr generalist team will make you work in different service line and sometime on different technology altogether (They just fill the space irrespective or skill and technology). No Hierarchy followed in terms of ratings, know people with 5 years’ experience (Lateral Experienced Hires) working as BTA and people who joined as fresher’s (Campus Recruits) with 2 years’ experience promoted as Consultants. Few people will be there as 8 years managers and 9 Yr Senior Managers and also there are people with 13 years of experience as Sr Consultants (which is 2 level down from Sr.Managers). It all about NETWORKING NETWORKING NETWORKING NETWORKING NETWORKING NETWORKING IF YOU STILL WANNA JOIN THIS COMPANY THEN FEEL IT BY YOUR SELF.
