Performance evaluations seem to be based on a buddy system. If you're lucky enough to get in the inner circle, you find a wealth of support and project opportunities at every turn. If you're on the outside it will show in the way of lower evaluations and lower raises. The most critical unwritten rules of the organization and the keys to success are rarely stated bluntly. In order to be successful, you MUST be able to read between the lines and pick up on informal cues. Most consultants do this naturally, but if you struggle with indirect feedback Deloitte is NOT the place for you.
