      Smart People, Good projects..bad salary..

      Pros

      Career Growth- The Management spends alot of time giving opportunities to people to grow Smart people - Everybody is young, ambitituous, technically apt, motivated New Learnings- Projects give alot of new learnings, new people are given a chance to succeed. Smart Management- Management is very competent, knows how to sell, makes right decision Managenet takes time to evaluate and gives good feedback, management is pretty fair to people who are motivated and work hard. Management is very fair in promotions and supports diversity alot.

      Cons

      Bad Salary- Salary is not comparable compare to outside market, we are getting paid atleast 10-15 K less than market No Work Life Balance- Work hrs are long and alot of travel.

      - Recognizable name, pay is on par with other Big 4s and comparable consulting firms - People are nice and usually smart - Social activities make work more fun

      Cons

      - Firm is too big, hard to get noticed - Performance evaluation system is a bit arbitrary - Quality of projects really depend on who you work for and luck - Getting stuck on a long, boring projects is common, especially in technology consulting practice - Recruiting does not give good insight on what actually job entails/type of consulting work Deloitte focuses on - No year end bonus

      Excellent place for the career minded and strong prospects in upper management once you leave

      - Most people are solid and good to work with - Compensation increases are better than average - Large opportunity to gain experience in wide range of industries - Excellent launching pad into upper management

      Cons

      - Expect terrible work-life balance if you want to grow fast - Lot depends on luck of being staffed on right project with right senior management - Bias towards women
