      a good firm for networking and extra curricular activities but work can be very basic and redundant

      Pros

      Deloitte encourages networking and has a good benefit package. They also concentrate on developing key consulting capabilities and encourage extra curricular activities such as volunteering and solution development. There are a lot of networks within deloitte one can participate in. For instance culture-based networks, parent networks, and there are a lot of related events, which is good to network. The fact that deloitte is private also helps.

      Cons

      they seem to do a lot of staff augmentation and PMO work, which is not necessarily exciting. Also they do not seem to compensate a lot more then their competitors.

      Pros

      Deloitte has given such an immense amount of opportunity as far as advancement goes. They are extremely enthusiastic about making you want to advance in the firm, and even more, if you decide Deloitte is not for you, they are more than eager to help you find your place at another company. All in all, whether the place for you is within Deloitte or outside, they want the marketplace to know that you are a product of Deloitte and that in itself means that you are valuable.

      Cons

      There are long hours, but if you have chosen to work in public account, this should not come as a surprise to you. The hours are in line with, if not better than, certain other Big 4 accounting firms. Bottom line, if you chose this field, you knew you were in for some long hours, as tough as they can be.

      Personal "Review" of D&T

      Pros

      Young environment, willingness to learn and share knowledge, wonderful training programs

      Cons

      Long hours and sometimes, as a lower level auditor, you perform drone work without knowing the impact on the overall objective. while D&T is a huge company, the teams are small so it feels more like independent groups within a large organization.
